Is Vest Capital Legit? What We Can and Can’t Verify
Updated · 4 min read
Vest Capital is a real program run by a real exchange, not an anonymous storefront—but its payouts are not publicly verifiable. It is operated by Vest Markets (Vest Labs Inc., Panama), which names Coinbase, Jane Street, Selini and Greylock as backers on its site. That is more disclosure than many crypto prop firms offer. What you cannot do today is check its payouts on-chain: funded profit goes to your Primary Vest account first and no payout wallets are published. And despite ‘real capital’ wording in the docs, the Terms describe funded balances as notional/simulated. Treat it as a named, exchange-run performance program—and size your purchase accordingly.
- Named operator: Vest Labs Inc., Panama—the company behind the Vest Markets exchange, not a white-label reseller.
- Named backers: Coinbase, Jane Street, Selini and Greylock, per Vest’s own site. Backing is not a payout guarantee.
- Capital: the Terms say balances and results are notional/simulated and the operator hedges internally. Read that over the marketing copy.
- Payout proof: none public. Claims land in your Primary Vest account after about 24h, then you withdraw USDC yourself—so there is no payout wallet for anyone to count.
- Code XQPMX gives 5% off. We may earn a commission; it does not change what we can or cannot verify.
The four checks, scored

| Can payouts be checked? | No public payout wallets; profit routes through your own Vest account first | ❌ Not publicly verifiable |
Why the exchange-owned part matters
Most crypto prop firms are a brand, a checkout page and a third-party platform. Vest Capital is the prop program of the venue itself: the same company runs the order book, the account system and the payout step. That removes one common failure point—a firm that collects fees but depends on a separate broker or platform that can drop it—and it gives you a named counterparty with an investor list it has put its name to.
It does not make the program risk-free. A named operator gives you more information and more recourse than an anonymous one. It does not tell you how many traders get paid, how disputes are handled, or how the rules will be enforced on your account. See who owns crypto prop firms for how Vest compares with the rest of the market.
‘Real capital’ vs the Terms
The contract beats the landing page
Vest’s Capital docs say funded accounts trade ‘real Vest capital’ and each has its own wallet address. Vest’s Prop Terms say displayed balances and results are notional, simulated or programmatic and that the operator hedges internally. When marketing and terms disagree, the terms are what you agreed to.
That is normal for the industry—almost every crypto prop firm runs simulated funded accounts—but it changes what you are buying. You are paying for a chance to earn a profit share under a rule set, not depositing into an account you own. Our simulated vs real capital guide explains why that matters for payouts.
Why nobody can count Vest’s payouts yet
Some firms pay from a public wallet or contract, so anyone can add up what went out. Vest’s flow is different: you claim profit from the funded account, it is credited to your Primary Vest account in about 24 hours, and only then do you withdraw USDC to your own exchange or wallet. From the outside, that last transfer looks like any customer withdrawal. There is no payout wallet to watch.
That is not evidence Vest does not pay. It means the proof is private: your own claim record and your own withdrawal transaction. Keep both. Our Payout Tracker lists Vest as unverified for exactly this reason, and the Vest withdrawal guide walks through the two hops.
How to buy it without getting burned
- Confirm your country first. The Terms name prohibited jurisdictions; the US is not named but is not affirmatively confirmed either. See can US traders use Vest Capital.
- Start small. The $10 Instant account ($500) or the $15 2-Step Silver evaluation ($5K) tests the full claim-and-withdraw flow before you put real money in.
- Know the breach rules. Evaluations have a 6% static drawdown and an optional daily limit that resets at 20:00 ET. On Instant accounts the drawdown equals what you paid—touch the floor once and the account closes. See Vest Capital rules.
- Claim early and withdraw. There is no minimum payout. A small first claim proves the pipe works for you.
- Keep records. Screenshot the rule set at purchase, every claim, and every withdrawal hash.
Frequently asked questions
Is Vest Capital a scam?
We have found no evidence of that. It is run by a named company (Vest Labs Inc.) that operates the Vest Markets exchange and lists well-known backers. The open questions are different: funded capital is simulated under the Terms, and payouts are not publicly verifiable, so you rely on your own claim and withdrawal records.
Who owns Vest Capital?
Vest Capital is the prop program of Vest Markets, operated by Vest Labs Inc., a Panama company. Vest’s site names Coinbase, Jane Street, Selini and Greylock as backers.
Does Vest Capital actually pay out?
Vest’s docs say you can claim profit any time with no minimum, credited to your Primary Vest account in about 24 hours, then withdrawn as USDC. Because profit passes through your own account first and no payout wallets are published, there is no public ledger to confirm totals. Test with a small claim.
Is Vest Capital real money or simulated?
Treat it as simulated. The docs use ‘real Vest capital’ language, but the Prop Terms describe balances and results as notional/simulated and say the operator hedges internally.
Is there a Vest Capital discount code?
Yes—code XQPMX takes 5% off Vest Capital evaluations and instant funded accounts. PerpsMatch may earn a commission when you use it.
